DescriptionA ceramic mug with yellow exterior and white interior and small circular handle. Along the top edge is a solid brown line. The small circular handle is white with a single, vertical brown line down the exterior of the handle. The base of the cup is white and stamped with “CN” logo underneath which is “Vandesca-Syracuse Canada 73” in green. Narrative
The Canadian National Railway (CNR) was incorporated in 1919 as a result of the Intercolonial, Canadian Northern (which included the Prince Edward Island Railway), National Transcontinental and Grand Trunk Pacific railways coming together under a consolidated government railway system. The CNR logo was updated to “CN” in 1960 by Canadian graphic designer, Allan Fleming. The logo features a single flowing line to symbolize the movement of people, material and communication from one point to another.
