DescriptionA "violin" style, rag rug hooking punch needle with wooden body and metal hardware. The body is made of two halves set into each other with a center lengthwise groove, with a wide base and narrow middle which flares slightly before tapering at the top. In the bottom right corner is stamped “Ross Pat / Mar, 6, 1882”. A small white rectangular label is present at the bottom center-left with “cgh / 169” written in black ink. On the top right side is an eye screw. On the top edge of each half of the body are two flat pieces of metal, one of which is pointed with an oval cut out at the center, the other is shorter with a concave cut out on the top edge.
