DescriptionChild's long-sleeved flannel night gown. The white background features a print of Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. A ruffle encircles the bottom and is finished with zig-zag stitching on both edges. a zig-zag stitch. The cuffs are elasticated. The night gown has a narrow yoke that is slip down the front, the front of the gown is also split below the yoke for several inches. The collar is ruffled. Lulu starting exhibiting her work through the Women's Institute Pavilion as part of the PEI Provincial Exhibition and continued to exhibit for 40 years. Her work always won first place in the competitions.
Lulu was an avid sewer, making a variety of doll, baby and children's clothing which she sold in many locations, including the Singer sewing machine store. Many people also came to her house to buy clothes. When a long-term illness required Lulu to move into long-term care, she continued to skillfully manipulate her sewing machine making children's clothing.
