DescriptionA leather case (.1) with long strap threaded through two silver hoops attached at the back with a chrysanthemum embossed on the front center. The interior is divided into two section – top and bottom, which are each covered by a shaped leather flap. Inside the case are four silver metal containers (.2a-b, .3, .5a-b & .6a-b) and a single bamboo tongue depressor (.4). The strap has a silver buckle on the right end and both the right and left ends are bound with cotton(?) thread. The back of the case also features two 7cm loops, positioned vertically. On the bottom left corner is written “95” in white ink. The top front flap narrows at the bottom with metal hardware, stamped with “Lift The Sta”, which threads through a loop on the bottom front flap and locks onto a short metal post. The bottom compartment is divided into two storage areas, the first is 10x6cm and the other 16x4.5cm, with the first one fitting container .2a-b. Both compartments are open at the front facing side and the bottom contains a short leather strap with silver buckle (.7) and a yellow plastic package of “5 Robson / Flints” (.8) three of which red flints remain. The top storage is also divided into two compartments one 4.5x10cm for .3 and .4 , and the other 6.5x10cm .5 and .6. The right-side compartment has a leather trap attached to the bottom used to lift .5 when pulled. The left-side compartment has a strap sewn onto the left-side into which .4 slots. circa 1880
