DescriptionSet of six military medals. Each medal is different though they all consist of a colored ribbon and a medallion with the image of a monarch on one side. A is a Boer War medal with a red, navy and orange striped ribbon with four bars that cross over the ribbon. The medallion has the image of Queen Victoria on one side. The reverse has the goddess Britania holding a wreath and looking out over a group of soldiers. B is a General service medal from world war 1 with a light blue, black, white and yellow ribbon. The medallion has the image of George V on one side. On the reverse is the image of a man on horseback, the horse is standing on a shield and there is a scull and cross bones below the back legs. C is a ceremonial medal that was presented to selected NCOs (Non-Commission Officers) who were at the Coronation parade of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. The ribbon is white blue and red striped. The medallion have the profiles of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra both wearing crowns. On the reverse is the "kings cypher" above the date of the planned coronation. The medallion is surmounted by a crown. D is a long service medal, the ribbon is solid green. The medallion is attached to the ribbon by a horizontal bar. The medallion has the image of George V on one side. The obverse has a crown surrounded by vines with text in the middle. E is a Faithful Service medal. The ribbon is grey and red striped. The medallion has the image of King George V on one side and a seated, nude male figure on the reverse. F is a brooch that is pinned to E. The center of the pin is a royal cipher with a crown. B-F are are attached to a long brass pin. In addition to the medals that are already mentioned there is also a rainbow ribbon that was likely a victory medal. Collections
