DescriptionA silver coloured medal (.a) on a ribbon of green, white, and brown in a black, clam-shell style presentation box (.b). The box has a gold shield at the top center with “Prince Edward Island” underneath. The interior of the lid has a white fabric cushion with the same shield as on the exterior. The medal is inset into a fuzzy red, plastic tray in the base of the box. The medal’s ribbon is folded underneath the tray. An off-white cardboard sleeve (c) protects the presentation box.The front of the medal has “Arts” with an image of Prince Edward Island at the center with “Fair Island of the Sea Le Jardin Du Golfe” along the exterior edge in raised letters. Below the image of PEI are images of a plane and a ferry. On the reverse of the medal is an image of Province House with “1873 – 1973” above. Along the outer edge is “Prince Edward Island Centennial of Confederation” in raised letters.
