DescriptionCircular silver British War Medal with a rayon ribbon. The medal has a bar clasp at the top from which the the ribbon hangs. The medal is circular with the image of St. George on horseback trampling the eagle shield of the Central Powers, in the back ground is a skull and cross-bones. The front of the medal has the head of George V. The ribbon has orange, yellow, green, beige, blue and violet watered stripes.
Narrative
This medal was approved by King George V in 1919 to record the bringing of the war to a successful conclusion.
