DescriptionLong red military coat with a fitted waist and a stiff collar. The coat is lined in sateen that is quilted around the sleeve attachments and the shoulders. The sleeves are lined with cotton. At the shoulders on the inside of the coat are two red ties while on the outside of the coat there is gold braid in a flattened coil-like design that forms three circles that interlock at the bottom and has a button attached at the beginning. The collar meets edge to edge with a set of hook and eyes attached to the sides of the collar and a piece of crushed velvet that sticks out from one end of the collar. The collar is bordered at the top and bottom with a gold braid and has a gold trim set between them. The collar is decorated with two symbols, the first is a semi-circle with wires encircling it and the second appears to be bird feathers The sleeve cuffs are velvet with a gold braid that borders the cuff half way around and end in a loop that forms a peak in the inter-looping circles in the middle of the cuff. The coat has one breast pocket and on small front pocket just below the waist that are both lined with cotton. The coat has a blue braid that outlines the bottom of coat and the edge near the button holes. On the back there are two buttons and one hook. Found in one of the pockets is a red patch with two gold chevrons (corporal stripes).
