DescriptionArm chair with a trapezoidal seat that is flared at the front and skirted on all sides by a rectangular apron. The corners of the seat are notched to accommodate the front and back posts. The front legs are squared and tapered at the base. The front legs extend upwards as curved posts on which the arms are secured. The arms are "S" shaped and secured to both the front and back supports. There is a single box stretcher with the front and back slats off set from the sides. The back legs swept back, squared and tapered at the base they also extend upwards as canted stiles that are tapered at the upper end. The back legs are capped by a rectangular crest rail. Between the crest rail and the lower cross piece are four vertical slats that are secured at either end by mortise and tenon joints. Narrative
