DescriptionHigh back rocker with caned seat and back. The high back is slightly concave with a curved crest rail. The bottom edge of the crest rail has six semi-circular indentations. There are four vertical slats between crest rail and center rail of the back. The slats are ring-turned at the center and tear-drop shaped on the ends. The center rail also has six semi-circular indentations on the top. The section between the center rail and the bottom rail of the back is caned. The arms are slightly concave and the arm stumps are a stylized "G"-shape. The seat is wider at front with an arch at the center front. The front legs are cabriole shaped. and there is a single rectangular stretcher running between the two. The rear legs are continuations of the back of the chair and are also curved. Running between the front and back legs on each side is a curved rocker that tapers toward the back. Above each rocker is two round stretchers. Painted on the crest rail of the chair is two winged serpents on either side of a bird.Collections
