This quilt was started and completed by Marjorie Hooper Dalziel (1941-2022) as a “COVID-19
project”. Dalziel learned to sew at a young age from her grandmother, Margaret
Stevenson Clark. Over the years her projects served both practical and creative
purposes including clothes for her children, quilts, and handmade gifts.
Marjorie's daughter shared that her mother hand-quilted every quilt on her lap. She never used a quilting frame, no matter the size. Marjorie used two wooden embroidery hoops to create the stretch and tension, working section by section until the entire quilt was completed.
