Narrative
Probus clubs were established as a social group for retired or semi-retired women and men. The word "probus" is a combination of professional and business and the goal is to offer a network which can help with the risk of isolation that can come when people retire. There are thousands of clubs worldwide.

The Women’s Probus Club of Charlottetown formed in 2003 with 58 members. The members benefit from guest speakers, events, daytrips and programs.
