DescriptionA small book with a blue paper covered attached to the interior pages by two metal staples at the spine. Cover has the title, "Jean Pierre Roma of the Company of the East of Isle St. Jean", in large font in the top left corner with the subtitle underneath in much smaller font. Author’s name is located at the center left. Front cover features an abstract landscape design across the bottom with what looks like a coniferous tree at the center and leaning towards the top right corner. Bottom right corner has the signature for Elaine Harrison. A logo on title page is black and resembles a building with a long triangular roof and two white columns on either side of the center. Written by Jill MacLean and published by the PEI Heritage Foundation, “Jean Pierre Roma of the Company of the East of Isle St. Jean” is a non-fiction text on the 18th century settlement of Jean Pierre Roma. Originally printed in 1977, poet Jill MacLean conducted research on Roma while living on PEI for four years. In 2003 a book by the same title was printed in both French and English by Acorn Press.
