DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base. The side are flared to form an oval opening. The basket has two curved handles. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints (0.8 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.7 cm). At the top of the basket is two rows of wider warp splints (1.7 cm) these two splints are bridged by a row of diamond jikiji’j. The rim of the basket is a double bound sweet grass. The basket has two curved wood splint handles that are double wrapped in wood splints. The handle is woven into the basket with the weft splints.Collections
