DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side are flared to form a circular opening. The basket has one rounded hinged handle. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp strands (2.0 cm) are slightly wider than the weft strands (1.9 cm). Around the bottom of the basket the warp splints are narrower (1.1 cm). The rim of the basket is wood splints nailed to the basket. The basket has a rounded handle that is attached to the basket with a single nail on each side into the rim. These nails act as hinges.
