DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base. The side are slightly flared to form a larger rectangular opening. The basket has two squared hinged handles and a hinged top. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp strands (1.3 cm) are narrower than the weft strands (3.0 cm). The top is also woven in the same pattern with wider warp (3.5cm) and weft (3.5 cm) splints. The rim of the basket is a wood splint that are nailed to each basket. The basket has two squared handles that are attached to the basket with a single nail on each side into the rim. These nails act as hinges. The top is attached to the rest of the basket with two hinges and is held closed with a single hookCollections
