DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base. The side are slightly flared to form a larger rectangular opening. The basket has two squared hinged handles. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints (0.9 cm) are narrower than the weft strands (1.6 cm). The rim of the basket is a wood splints nailed to the basket. The basket has two squared handles that are attached to the basket with a single nail on each side into the rim. These nails act as hinges. Attached to the top of the basket is a lid that is hinged in the middle so that is can be opened from both sides. Collections
