DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base. The side are slightly flared to form a larger rectangular opening. The basket has two squared hinged handles. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp strands (1.2 cm) are slightly narrower than the weft strands (1.4 cm). Three warp strands from the top is a strand that is much thinner than the rest. The rim of the basket is a single bound wood splint. The basket has two squared handles that are attached to the basket with a single nail on each side into the rim. These nails act as hinges. Collections
