DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base. The side are slightly flared to form a larger rectangular opening. The basket has two squared hinged handles. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp strands are two widths (1.2 cm and 2.2 cm) and are slightly narrower than the weft strands (2.0 cm). The warp splints alternate between the two widths. The rim of the basket is wood splints nailed to the basket. The basket has two squared handles that are attached to the basket with a single nail on each side into the rim. These nails act as hinges.Collections
