DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (2.0 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (0.2 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.0 cm) Around the top of the basket is a single wider warp splint (0.9 cm). Some of the splints around the middle of the basket are replaced with braided sweet grass. The warp splints on the lid (0.2 cm) are also narrower than the weft splints (0.5 cm). Like the basket several of the splints near the middle of the top of the lid are replaced with braided sweet grass. In the center of the lid is several rows of sweet grass. In the center of the lid is a splint wrapped ring. The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim of the lid is single wrapped sweet grass. Collections
