DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base. The side are flared to form a larger rectangular opening. The basket has an attached lid with a handle in the center and a catch on the front. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket and the weft splints on the lid (0.8 cm) are wider than the warp splint on the lid (0.4 cm) and the weft splints on the basket (0.2 cm). The wider splints are flattened wood splints while the narrower splints are round. Two edges of the lid are double bound round wood splints, the other two edges have the weft splint wrapped around it. The rim on the basket is braided round splints. Collections
