Narrative
Ernest H. Worth opened his pharmacy on prince street in 1926 after he had spent the previous 16 years working at other pharmacies in Charlottetown, PEI. Worth and his family lived in the apartment above the shop. His close proximity unknowingly encouraged many regular customers to frequent the pharmacy. This mortar originally was from W.R. Watson Drug Store which opened in 1843 at 33 Queen Street Charlottetown. After Watson's drug store closed the mortar and a pestle were saved and brought to Worth's Drug Store.
