DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base and flared sides widening to a larger rectangle. The basket has two hinged D-shaped handles. The basket has a traditional checker weave with a one-over-one-under pattern. The warp and weft strands are the same width (2.4 cm). Two of the top three warp strands are a darker wood than the rest. The rim is splints of wood nailed to the weft strands. Attached to the outside of the rim is two hinged D-shaped handles that are attached to the basket with nails that act as the hinges.
