DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a single curved handle. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints (0.7 cm) are narrower than the weft strands (1.8 cm). Around the bottom of the basket is a single wider warp splint (1.2 cm). There are also two of the wider splints closer to the top (1.7 cm). Between the wider splints at the top is a single row of diamond jikiji’j. The narrow warp splints are dyed green and the wider splints are dyed pink. The rim of the basket is single wrapped wood splints. The basket has a single curved wooden handle that is woven into the basket along with the weft splints. In the center of the handle is a carved bulge for holding the basket. Collections
