DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are slightly flared forming a larger circular opening. The basket has a curved wooden handle. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints (0.4 cm) are narrower than the weft strands (1.5 cm). Around the top edge of the basket are two wider warp splint (1.1 cm) that are alternated with a narrower splint. One of the wider splints is dyed green and one is dyed red. The rim of the basket is double wrapped sweet grass. The splint used to wrap the sweet grass is also dyed green. The basket has a curved handle that has the ends woven into the basket with the weft.
