DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side are curved forming a larger circular opening. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints (0.5 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.6 cm). Near the top is two rows of wider splints (1.3 cm) between which is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The wider rows and diamond jikiji’j are also repeated at the bottom. The rim is single wrapped sweet grass. In two spots near the top of the sides of the basket is an opening in the weave that act as handles. Collections
