DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side bulge forming a smaller circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.0 cm high). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints on the basket (0.9 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.6 cm). Near the top of the basket there are several rows of even narrower splints (0.5 cm). The warp splints on the side of the lid (0.5 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.6 cm) the warp splints on the top of the lid (0.3 cm) are narrower than the ones on the sides. The rim on the basket and lid are single wrapped wood splints.This is a hamper style basket.
