DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side are flared to form a circular opening. The basket has a single curved handle. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints are two widths (1.5 cm and 0.5 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.5 cm). The wider splints are near the top and around the bottom both sets are bridged by a row of diamond jikiji’j. The basket has a single curved wooden handle that is notched where it meets the rim the handle, the handle is woven into the basket with the weft splints. The rim of the basket is single wrapped sweet grass. Collections
