DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base. The side are slightly flared to form a larger rectangular opening. The basket has a single squared handle. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp strands (0.8 cm) are narrower than the weft strands (1.5 cm). The warps splints are natural brown in color while the wefts splints are dyed red. At the top of the basket is two rows of wider warp splints. Between these two rows is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The rim of the basket is a single bound wood splint. The basket has a single D-shaped handle that is woven into the basket with the weft splints. Collections
