DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base. The side are slightly flared to form a larger rectangular opening. The base of the basket has a slight concave curve. The basket has a single squared handle. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp strands (0.5 cm) are narrower than the weft strands (1.5 cm). Near the top of the basket there is two wider warp splints (2.5 cm) these wider splints are separated by a single narrower splint. The rim of the basket is a single bound sweet grass. The basket has a single squared handle that is attached to the basket with a single nail and is woven into the basket with the weft. Collections
