DescriptionRectangular fishing creel with an attached lid. The creel is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints (1.1 cm) is narrower than the weft splints (1.6 cm). The lid is woven using the same width splints and is attached to the creel by short strips of leather There are two opening at the back edge of the lid and the top of the back of the creel to allow for attachment and a larger opening near the front of the lid. Two of the edges of the lid are double wrapped with wood splint while the rim of the creel is single wrapped with wood splints. Collections
