DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side are flared to form a circular opening. The basket has a handle on each side. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints (1.3 cm) are narrower than the weft splints which narrow toward the top (3.0-1.5 cm). Near the top of the basket is a row of diamond jikiji’j that cross between two rows of wrap splints. On each side of the basket is a curved handle that is woven into the warp splints. The rim of the basket is wood splints that have been nailed together.Collections
