DescriptionSquare based woven basket that widens to a circular opening. Basket has both natural brown wood weaves and weavers that have been dyed green. Basket is woven in a checker-woven with a one-over- one under pattern The warp strands (2.4 cm) are slightly narrower than the weft strands (2.6 cm) The weft strands alternate between the natural brown wood and the dyed green strands While the warp strands are arranged in a three strand wide pattern, three strands of green at the bottom with three strands of the natural above it three strands of green and the natural strands to the top. The rim of the basket consists of two wood splint that are nailed into place at each of the weft strands with one of the splint on the outside and one on the inside. Collections
