DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base. The side are flared forming a larger rectangular opening. The basket has one D-shaped hinged handle. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints (0.8 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.8 cm). Near the top and around the bottom are two rows of wider warp splint (2.0 cm). At the corners the weft splints are split to form weft splints that are half the width. The narrower warp splints are all dyed pink while the wider splints are undyed. The rim is wood splints nailed to the basket. The handle is D-shaped and nailed to the rim. The nails act as hinges.
