DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints are narrower than the weft splints (2.6 cm). The warp splints at the top (2.2 cm) of the basket are all the same width. In the middle of the basket is a single very narrow splint (0.7 cm). At the bottom of the basket the warp splints alternate between the widest width and slightly narrower (1.6 cm) splints. At the very top is a row of diamond jikiji’j that bridges two rows of warp splints. There is also a row of jikiji’j around the bottom of the basket. The rim of the basket is double wrapped wood splints. Collections
