DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints (1.7 cm) are the wider that the weft splints (1.5 cm). Around the middle of the basket is a single narrower splint (0.5 cm). Above and below the narrower splint is a row of jikiji’j that are situated between two rows of the wider splints. Around the bottom of the basket between two rows of the widest splint is a single row of diamond jikiji’j. The rim is single wrapped wood splint. Most of the warp and weft splints are dyed pink. The diamond jikiji’j are dyed green as are some of the splints around the jikiji’j. Collections
