DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side flare to form a larger circular opening. The basket has a circular lid or stand. The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints on the basket (0.4 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.2 cm) The warp splint on the lid are the same width as the ones on the basket and the weft splints (0.6 cm) are narrower than the ones on the basket. The top two rows of the basket are connected by a row of diamond jikiji’j and the bottom row of the basket is also decorated by a row of jikiji’j. The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound sweet grass. Collections
