DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.0 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (0.4 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.2 cm). There are wider warp splints (0.8 cm) around the top and bottom of the basket. The warp splints on the lid (0.5 cm) are also narrower than the weft splints (1.2 cm) and there are wider warp splints (0.9 cm) around the sides of the lid. The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim of the lid is single bound sweet grass. In the middle of the lid is a single wood splint wrapped ring. Collections
